Volunteering at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank was a truly rewarding experience. The staff is not only passionate about their mission but also incredibly welcoming, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere. The organization's commitment to fighting hunger in the community is evident in the well-organized volunteer activities. Whether sorting and packing food or assisting with distribution efforts, the tasks are impactful and make a real difference. Volunteering here is a meaningful way to contribute to the community while being part of a dedicated team at the forefront of addressing food insecurity.
We had a group from Oswald Companies volunteer to help out for a few hours at the GCFB. The staff and other volunteers were incredible, friendly and dedicated. They are a cornerstone for the community making sure those that need food, get what they have to offer. They prep, cook, package and deliver meals to many different places all week long. If you have time, this is a great opportunity to give support for a great cause!!!
it's not what everyone b thinking this place is.. best believe certain employees get there hands on all the donations that comes in guest then what they dont want it goes to people in need... I have seen more then few different things but we all know.. there is certain workers that have the most disrespectful attitudes on them they treat the food like it's theres.. I have seen a family come in with 5 kids they turned her down just because she didnt have all the paperwork she needed to sign up.. I'm sorry but if u see someone with kids and she is asking for food they should be able to do it.. just have the family come back with the right papers truly sad to see.. some of them don't need to b working there .. they really take that job over there heads
It was a very good place but the shopper I had with me only let me get a PC of bacon n I was told I could get 3 meats in the right cooler
I appreciate the boxes of vegetables, fruit and a different variety of foods. I appreciate the volunteers especially, who all seem to be in great spirits even when it's super hot, rainy and cold. I'd certainly would love to be a volunteer.
The service and the help that they give us when we come down there for our church is very gracious, very kind, very nice and very helpful. Those 2 nice young ladies Loading the i trucks. For everybody, they go above their exquotation.
It was very gratifying to volunteer at this location and to help a great organization.
This place is a joke they have no food to distribute and turned me away with a list and it's so fancy but not helpful at all why not actually serve the community instead of sending people to other locations
